Braille Translation

If you are in need of a decent (and free) braille translation program to allow you to print text to braille on most braille embossers, then give NFBTrans a try.  It works in DOS, but is not terribly difficult to use and the zip file that downloads to your computer includes extensive documentation.  The most recent one that I could find was version 774. One interesting thing I read in the docs was, the source code is included in the zip file and can be compiled for use in Linux.  You can download NFBTrans at the  following Web address:   NFBTrans.

If you do braille transcription, here is a site that you can use for reference and to check accuracy:   Braille Contraction Lookup
